Also known as mums or chrysanths, chrysanthemum is a perennial flowering plant genus having about 30 species in the family Asteraceae. Growing to a height that ranges from 50 to 100 cm. tall often with rounded leaves and big flower heads, chrysanthemums are native to the Asian and the European regions. The name chrysanthemum was derived from the Greek word chrysanthos, which means “golden flower”. Chrysanthemums are also available in various color variations which include pink, white and yellow color variations. Chrysanthemums are commonly used as ornamental flowers for display inside your home (mostly placed on a vase). Since chrysanthemums are popular around the world, chrysanthemum flower meaning varies from region to reason, same as each of its color variation.
